No — and that's intentional. Ski Buddies are locals who know the mountain intimately. If you want ski lessons, we recommend taking a ski school lesson first. Buddies complement instruction by showing you the mountain the way locals experience it.
We have buddies who specialize in beginners and are incredibly patient. Just filter by "Beginner Friendly" when browsing. We recommend a lesson for complete beginners on day one, then a buddy from day two onward.
We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance. Weekend and holiday bookings should be made 1-2 weeks ahead. Last-minute bookings (same day) are sometimes possible — just ask.
No. Your buddy confirms within 2 hours of your booking request, and payment is made directly on the day of your experience. We don't take a deposit.
If conditions are genuinely dangerous (resort closure, extreme weather), we offer a full rebook at no cost. Normal "not ideal" conditions — light snow, cloudy skies — are not grounds for cancellation, and your buddy will adapt the day accordingly.
